Nick & I had been to a couple of other kitchen designers before we met with Richard, we found them lacking in knowledge and far more interested in securing our business by paying a deposit than helping us with our project. It was all fairly disheartening! Then Richard came over one afternoon, he came to us so he could see the space we had to work with which really helped. We quickly came up with a plan with ideas we had and things we hadn't thought possible that Richard suggested.
A couple of days later we had the drawings back and we loved the layout. Every aspect is considered with Richard he is very meticulous and shortly after we made all our decisions the building work began. A few short weeks later we are now enjoying an absolutely stunning kitchen that has revolutionised how we live and gets many admiring comments from friends. I had been to several companies looking for a kitchen and found designers lazy and designs boring. However, I knew immediately I could have confidence in your ideas and execution. You understood exactly what I was after and the whole process, from planning, decision making, through to the finish has been professional, creative, prompt and smooth. The budget was adhered to exactly, the work was completed on time with the minimum disruption, and the team were always punctual, clean, helpful and a pleasure to have around. Any changes that needed to be made were dealt with straight away and with no difficulty - even persuading the Germans to remake a couple of doors specially! After visiting the usual High Street companies for our new kitchen we always felt that we were not getting what we wanted and there always seemed to be a sense of compromise. The pricing always looked OK but the quality and finish just seemed to miss the spot. So as a sanity check we contacted Richard at Liquid Design to see how much a “bespoke” kitchen would be and if there really was any difference. I honestly thought it would be out of our budget and that we would not see a difference. How wrong I (we) were.
From the first meeting at our house it was clear that Richard was passionate about kitchens and how we, as the customer, use our kitchen and what our aims were.
We have ended up with a completely different kitchen than we originally had in mind and that has been down to the fact we have been allowed to really question what we wanted and use Richard as a sounding board and trust me Richard will not shy away from telling you if he thinks you are wrong and to be fair he is normally right.
So the bottom line… have we ended up with a better kitchen, without doubt. Is the quality of the kitchen better, no question. Did we have to compromise, no. Did we pay more than the High Street, yes we did however not as much as you might think. Was it worth it, 100% yes. Would we use Richard again, absolutely.

When we moved into our new home we knew the kitchen could be something really special and the centre of family life. After using Liquid Space Design in our previous home and being overwhelmed by the amazing results we had no hesitation in asking Richard for his expertise again.

I contacted Liquid Space Design after seeing an advertisement in the press. At the time, I had expected to buy my kitchen from one of the mainstream nationwide mass market outlets, but was put off by negative reviews posted on line in relation to most of them. We are very happy indeed with our new kitchen and its design, but above and beyond that, I would particularly recommend LSD to anyone looking for a new kitchen in the context building work on the house. I can’t think how we would have managed without the collaboration of someone thoroughly well versed in the world of kitchens and builders, who knows how these things work and what can go wrong (so that pitfalls or scheduling problems can be spotted in advance and where possible avoided). LSD’s extensive knowledge of their business and their ability to help navigate through the project and dove-tail with the builder were essential and I don’t know what we would have done without them. I would recommend them unreservedly to anyone looking for a modern kitchen.

It was a considerable project with remodelling of almost half the downstairs of our home and fitting in with our timescales. We wanted the WOW! Factor and boy did we get it! Not only was the process enjoyable but the layout design and time taken by Richard to get it right was on another level to the other companies who we initially asked to design and quote! I went to four separate companies with what I believed was a decent budget of £20,000 to do my new kitchen, they were unhelpful, didn’t listen to my requirements and when finally they bothered to produce lazy designs and layouts they quoted well over £30,000. Developing houses in the present climate can be a logistical nightmare. On a recommendation from a friend at the golf club I asked Richard to quote for three houses I was building. The quality of furniture was excellent, he also supplied the appliances and stone worktops and installed them totally hassle free leaving me time to deal with the snagging of the properties. The kitchens quite simply sold the properties and I now know in future where to go for high quality, hassle free great value kitchens. While most people find having their kitchen fitted, quite stressful, we had quite a different experience! Having Richard do our kitchen was an amazing, carefree experience. He put so much more into the project than just designing our kitchen.
